Murdoch’s News International has unveiled its new model for The Times and The Sunday Times newspapers (www.timesonline.co.uk) newspapers with the launch of a membership scheme that gives readers access to exclusive events and special offers in return for a GBP 50 annual fee, FT reported.

After webcasters, artists and record labels have come to an agreement on royalty rates, Tim Westergren, the founder of Pandora, announced in a blog post, that his service will have to limit free listening to 40 hours per month to accommodate for the new economic realities of webcasting. Listeners to hit this limit can opt for an unlimited listening for the remainder of that month for just $0.99 – that’s equal the price of a regular song on Apple’s iTunes.
